2018 update!

In 2016 a week before my 44th Birthday I had a panic and sat hubby down and said either we have another try or accept that we are a family of three. As happy as we were to have Isaac in our lives, we had been trying naturally since his birth and had also used clomid and femara. Hubby said we could have one more try and while I was dithering he booked our flights to Greece to go back to the clinic!
We were so lucky because somehow everything worked out for us - hubby's time off work, someone to watch Isaac for a few days twice, finding a clinic locally near home to have bloods and scans done, and even my cycle timings!
Our first trip to the clinic resulted in me only having a scan, I didn't need an aquascan or hysteroscopy as my uterus and lining were all good. Another good surprise was that they still had one of hubby's sperm samples frozen from 4 years previously, so after fresh blood tests his participation in this cycle was complete! I had fresh bloods done, we collected a multitude of medication and instructions, and we were good to go the very next cycle!
After meds, scans and bloods back home the next trip to Greece was me by myself! Everything went well and it was exciting watching the screen and seeing two hopefuls being put back (although it was a bit painful and that worried me in case it wasn't meant to be).
It was all worth it because one of those hopefuls made it and on the 4th July 2017, a day late, Albert was born!
